#46. Bankruptcy, lose of home, savings or business must not happen because of illness.
Health insurance coverage is of value if it shields against those things happening.
What does the term, " Universal comprehensive health care insurance " mean? It means that the policy holder will never go bankrupt because of illness; will never lose his home because of illness; will never be drained of life-savings because of illness; will never have to close down the family business or lose a job because of illness.
Adding "Single-payer" to the term: "Universal comprehensive health care insurance" means that all Americans will chip in to help pay for the illness whose cost is catastrophic. Single-payer is how a huge cost is spread out so that no one family will lose its home, life savings, business or go bankrupt. Single-payer means that no one person will chip in too much. ... ... ... ... Sincerely, Shel Gloger
